Ride the Wave!

The Wave of Kindness

Aesop's fables are stories that have been written with a moral ... to help teach us a lesson in life.

Leave a comment below and tell us:

Which Aesop fable is your favourite ... and why?

Can you identify an Aesop fable with the moral : No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.

(REMEMBER TO LEAVE YOUR NAME AT THE END OF YOUR COMMENT!)

Anyone who leaves a comment this week, on this post, will be in the draw for a prize at Friday's Waka Pūhara Assembly!

What can you do this week to start your own wave of kindness?

  4. My story starts off with a small boy on a big skateboard. He accidentally falls off his skateboard,I help him get up,then he sets off on his way. Then he spots a lady who has dropped some money and gives it to her.She then sees a man having difficulty putting up a tent so she helped him. Then he spots a girl with no friends and helps her to find some. After that she sees me having difficulty pushing Lucy up the hill in a buggy,so she gave me a hand. And thats my story. By Olivia Cooper

  6. The moral of the Wolf and Crane is not to trust everyone. My favourite Aesop fable and the one we had to find is The lion and the Mouse. The moral is friends come in different sizes. Ayrton

  15. My favourite fabel is The Tortoise & the Hare - because i like the story. The fabel with the "no act of kindness goes unnoticed" is from the Lion and the Mouse. Another way of saying it is : do unto others as you hope to have them do unto you! Max P

  16. My story starts with a birthday party coming up, and she doesn't know who to invite. Theres another girls who hasn't been to a party ever, so one day the girl whos having the party askes if the other girl wants to come to her party. (thats when the kindness wave comes in). So from there they play together every day.Alice.M (i do have this on paper).

  17. My story starts when a new girl can't find her book so someone else rips a piece of paper from her pad. After that the new girl sees someone with no pencil so she lends her a pencil and that starts the wave. Izzy 😊

  20. My favourite Aesop's Fable is The Hare and the Tortoise because
slow and steady wins the race. The Hare was being mean saying
"You're a slowcoach" that's not very positive. But the Tortoise had Persistence. The Tortoise had some goals to achieve.Nevaeh Shand.

    1. Yes Nevaeh that is my favourite too. The Tortise is like all of us. We need to persist to achieve our goals.
