challenge 1: the tortoise and the hair because it is a funny story that teaches you you're not the best at everything. challenge 2: the mouse and the lion. olivia B

DeleteMy story starts off with a small boy on a big skateboard. He accidentally falls off his skateboard,I help him get up,then he sets off on his way. Then he spots a lady who has dropped some money and gives it to her.She then sees a man having difficulty putting up a tent so she helped him. Then he spots a girl with no friends and helps her to find some. After that she sees me having difficulty pushing Lucy up the hill in a buggy,so she gave me a hand. And thats my story. By Olivia Cooper
ReplyDeleteA great 'wave' of kindness, Olivia. Nice ideas.
DeleteI helped my sister at lunch because she was crying. Amelia.M:]
ReplyDeleteThat's great to hear. How lucky you are to be able to help your own family, within our wider St Mark's family!
DeleteThe moral of the Wolf and Crane is not to trust everyone. My favourite Aesop fable and the one we had to find is The lion and the Mouse. The moral is friends come in different sizes. Ayrton
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ayrton. Who do you think proved to be untrustworthy in this fable, and why?

ReplyDeleteThat's lovely, London. And you are right ... no one is perfect, but if we try our best then we can be proud of what we do to help others.

ReplyDeleteI like that something slow can win against somene who is fast it proves that speed is not everything.
I quite agree Holly.

DeleteMy story starts with a new school girl that doesn't have any friends to play with. But there is another girl also having no friends. So when they are in maths class, the new girl doesn't have a pencil so kindly the other girl gives the new girl a pencil. That's when there kindness wave starts. And from then on they are kind people and friends.Sophia.S I have got this on paper.
ReplyDeleteLovely example, Sophia.
Deletetoday I am going to help Vanessa with her speedy writing but just the spelling because she all ways has great ideas!- Hannah W
ReplyDeleteThat is kind, Hannah.
DeleteI like the the grasshopper and the ant. The ant worked hard and stored food for the winter while the grasshopper played and didn't work hard
ReplyDeleteAsay
That's true. I wonder if you can guess, Asay, what the moral is to this story?
DeleteI was kind and helped mum carry the shopping because it was heavy for her

My favourite fabel is The Tortoise & the Hare - because i like the story. The fabel with the "no act of kindness goes unnoticed" is from the Lion and the Mouse. Another way of saying it is : do unto others as you hope to have them do unto you! Max P
ReplyDeleteMy story starts with a birthday party coming up, and she doesn't know who to invite. Theres another girls who hasn't been to a party ever, so one day the girl whos having the party askes if the other girl wants to come to her party. (thats when the kindness wave comes in). So from there they play together every day.Alice.M (i do have this on paper).
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Alice. I think you must have been listening to Reverend Helen in our assembly this morning ... well done!
DeleteMy story starts when a new girl can't find her book so someone else rips a piece of paper from her pad. After that the new girl sees someone with no pencil so she lends her a pencil and that starts the wave. Izzy 😊
ReplyDeleteNice idea Izzy.
Deleteto start you could atleast give them a smile
ReplyDelete1.I like the Tortoise and the hare because I like the moral that not always the best wins and your attitude counts. 2.The mouse and the lion!

My favourite Aesop's Fable is The Hare and the Tortoise because
ReplyDeleteslow and steady wins the race. The Hare was being mean saying
"You're a slowcoach" that's not very positive. But the Tortoise had Persistence. The Tortoise had some goals to achieve.Nevaeh Shand.
Yes Nevaeh that is my favourite too. The Tortise is like all of us. We need to persist to achieve our goals.
