Servanthood

Mother Teresa

The focus for Scripture this term is being a servant.  As a Year 5 group, we have been learning about what it means to be a servant.  We've had some interesting discussions about different types of servants, both now and in history.

Today we explored aspects about the life of Mother Teresa, a woman who committed her life to working for God, by serving the less fortunate and the sick.  Mother Teresa was a living example of servanthood and we can learn a lot from the way she lived her life and the way she cared for others.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

This short video gives a basic outline about the life of Mother Teresa.

Something to think about: In what ways can you act as a servant to those around you?

  1. Mum watched this video clip and asked us a few questions at the end. I was surprised Nathaniel, my brother, was answering some of the questions. Olivia B
